On January 26, 2024, the Congress introduced Bill No. 6874/2023-CR: the "Inventor's Law".

The draft law aims to establish a legal framework for protecting, promoting, and regulating inventive activity in Peru. It seeks to guarantee inventors' rights, promote innovation and technological development, and ensure the proper administration of patents and related intellectual property.
